Today’s prompt: prepare
Days prior to Blizzard 2022
People started to make preparations.
Supermarkets with overflowing shopping carts
Lines at the gas pumps
Prepare, Prepare, Prepare
Yes, I did my groceries ahead of the crowd.
Yes, I put the now overpriced gasoline in my vehicle.
Yes, I placed all trash in the hopper.
All to do was sit and wait out the storm.
Yesterday the day of the storm
The power went out ~ apartment near total darkness
Luckily, I’d had my hot tea beverage prior to outage.
When I accessed my portable radio, I found no sound.
And ‘C’ batteries which it required were not in the drawer.
It reminded me of when I go shopping without a list, it’s
inevitable I forget at least one item.
Lesson learned: check ALL for correct size batteries.

Today’s keyword: ‘understanding’
This world would be so much better if humans told the truth.
Personally, I hold those in high regard who don’t speak with
forked tongue.
Proficiency in communication void of deception equates to
foremost understanding.
Touch of humor ~ brief, to the point, understood

Today’s prompt: journal
December 6th, 2021 the e-book I requested sent to my
Kinde Reader turned out to be the best self-love workbook
I’d read in years.
Unfortunately, with an e-book there’s no way to complete
the exercises thus I treated myself to a brand-new journal.
The work which at times actually was fun came to a close
on December 28th as did my 2021 Goodreads Challenge.
All questions were answered with 100% honesty, and the
journal also is comprised of graphs, pictures and mini stories.
I learned quite a bit about myself beginning with childhood.
A journal is a great tool and one you can refer back to when
or if you feel need to clarify an event.
I’m glad I took the time to embark on this self-love journey.
I wish I could’ve purchased a paper-back or hard-cover of
this book.
Sadly, neither are offered for sale.

Today’s prompt: unbelievable
Life is constantly full of surprises.
Yesterday morn I decided to fancy my toast.
The resemblance to a ‘Toad in the Hole’ was
an easy option – breakfast for one.
Then the ‘unbelievable’ happened – an OMG moment.
The entire bottle of a well-known brand of grape jelly
preserves unbeknown to me had turned to liquid.
That was the end of the idea that resembles ‘Toad in
the Hole’ recipe.
Toast with butter is what I had to settle for ~ no Sunday morn treat.

Today’s word prompt: looking
The past few days I’ve been looking for opportunities to supplement
my income.
I was flabbergasted when I read about the success of a 19-year-old
who currently is earning big bucks from a crafts business she started
little over a year ago.
Yes, twas hard for me to comprehend since during my tenure of life
I’d dabbled in the same Hobbie.
Bravo to the young lady from the UK!!
Me? I shall continue looking and conduct research in hopes of a
last chance at success.

#JusJoJan prompt the 31st – “Candy”
Yeah!!
I managed to copy this year’s image and find a new pathway to post it here.
If correct, I believe it’s okay not to stick to a specific topic. Rather than research
directions under dim light I opted to wait for a day with bright sunshine.
Thus today’s contribution is about my early morning personal computer
experience.
After taking my 1st med of the day (Thyroid) with a full glass of water I’m
not supposed to eat for the next 30 minutes so the medicine can work its’
magic while thinning my crop of used-to-be thick hair, a most wonderful
side effect.
In the past I’d access my computer and lose track of time. Afterwards I’d
experience a gnawing gut feeling – aggravation at myself for not paying
better attention to the clock.
To rectify this situation I chose to mark the start time and shut down after
30 minutes no matter what site my mouse pointer was set thereon.
It’s called discipline!!
Today I scanned news articles on my homepage and settled for one which
within its’ title incorporated the words ‘greediest state in America’.
The fun began . . . LOL
One would think the answer would be at least at the end of the news article.
Wrong!!
Another link to ‘most dishonest’ followed by ‘loneliest’, ‘most dangerous’,
‘most party-friendly’ (drunkest state) and I stopped at ‘most promiscuous’.
With allotted computer time nearing end I backtracked. I couldn’t believe I’d
missed the pictures below the articles.
Then I plain laughed at myself as the answer to the first article was divulged to me.
Done – not yet.
I figured I’d place the question of ‘what’s the most’ followed by the info I desired to
learn in the search engine.
Bingo! Immediate response(s).
One more question OMG I don’t know where this thought found its’ way into
my head.
Dare I ask for an answer. Uumm!!
‘What brand of toilet paper does a certain politician use?’
Refraining from names here.
To my surprise his picture is on rolls of toilet tissue and wipes for sale online – no
bargain price though.
The 30 minute session ended with sheer laughter – a gag gift – a loo roll – a most
hilarious novelty prank present.
Rated 4.4 out of 5 stars.
Dump on ______________________ (fill in the blank).
Laughing out loud again.
