Why Am I Here?? I Ask Myself

Today’s submission highlights another numerical square of October’s calendar page. (check)

Recently I received a notification, an anniversary celebration 4 (four) years blogging.

Sadly the followers count appears to place me in the ‘not so popular’ rank / category.

I’ve done my best while dealing with a vast amount of negative circumstances – most

which I chose not to share – as personal info I consider to be private.

I believe we all like to feel we belong somewhere in this vast world only right

now I’m numb.

Every time I join a group the majority of others have a significant other on whom they

can rely.

Since I’m human I can’t help but wonder ’bout all those ‘whys’ with no valid answers.

I feel the need to rethink this goal a bit and decide either to pursue / continue or

quit / give up.

To those bloggers who interact with me and leave nice comments I say ‘Thank you’.

Okay I guess my thoughts are now headed for Blogosphere.

I face the decision to return tomorrow or leave the world of writing over here.

Three Things Challenge #396

Today’s words: meal – crisp – baggage

Crisp shredded lettuce
Salad greens evening meal
Baggage wretch’s burden
Birthday number forty-nine
Fifty-one‘s overshadows

Explanation between the lines (one day I (often unfortunate soul) shall write details).

I gave birth to ‘two’ sons born two years apart on the same date nearly to same minute.

Today is their birthday – one lives abroad since 1997 and one resides in Heaven.

The younger of the two turned ’49’ today.

His last visit home was four years and eight months ago
.

I planned on sending a nice greeting card this morn.

And then . . .

Windows10 wished to update and calamity began when I chose to schedule it

for later.

It took near an hour from my daily schedule to send that greeting card via e-mail.

Talk about perseverance or should rephrase consistent timing equation unfortunate

technology luck.

Truthful Tuesday – September 8th 2020

Today’s question:

Why did you start blogging, and is your reason for blogging
still the same now or has it changed?

Writing and grammar rated second on my list of favorites in high school and college.

My love for financial figures won out. Throughout my career working with numbers on

occasion I was asked to write business letters, etc.

Once retired I took a free Journalism class offered by a local newspaper. The editor read

my first homework assignment ‘Pizza Eating Ants’ to the entire class.

I was e’er thankful I’d secured a seat upfront that evening thus a room full of strangers

were unable to see my slightly tan face slowly turning blushing beet red.

Interject fact: ‘By nature I am quite shy until you get to know me.’

In 2017 I took to blogging after a breakup and found it to be quite therapeutic.

A relationship which I thought was blossoming ended on a sour note due to

the man’s chronic depressed state brought on by his drug-addicted son’s

behavior.

Since then many of my posts have been in response to prompt challenges and

enjoyment found writing Japanese poetry.
