Six Sentence Stories

prompt word: redemption

Near closing time an unkempt older man entered the local can

redemption center store carrying twenty-count super strength

multi-purpose garbage bags chock full of discarded semi-dirty

soda bottles, beer cans and plenty of germs.

Immediately upon spotting the semi-drunk character, the

clerk’s facial smile turned upside down, a new look, a frown

and toute de suite he played quite the disappearing act via

removing himself in record time from the front counter to the

storage room out back in hopes the man would become a

bit befuddled, imagine he’d seen a ghost and run for the hills.

Unfortunate for the clerk, who’d cashed out the drawer early,

his plan backfired when the man started screaming obscenities.

The redemption center walls shook from the sound waves, as

emissions from the unkempt man’s mouth bounced off every

inch of the building’s concrete walls.

Who’d have thought a human’s vocal tone could roar like a lion

or high-powered engine.

It was time for the clerk to place a fake smile on his face, return

to the counter and deal with the situation since the realization

set in the man wasn’t about to leave the premises without a ward

of cash.

Take Seven – October 16th 2020

Today’s prompt words: annoy – busker – button – car – crop – cry – elevate – Friday
hunt – hysterics – irritate – movement – pack – pattern – pest – poetry – song
street – swipe – thump – vamp

Late Friday afternoon a vamp standing at the bus stop began to irritate others
with her pattern of behavior.

With each verbal movement others silently thought – what a pest!

One man hoping to calm the crowd, offered the busker on the street corner
extra cash to read some Poetry or play a soothing song – perhaps time for both.

A tall heavyset man already annoyed from an unsuccessful hunt for his pack of
expensive cigarettes definitely didn’t need the dame to push his last button.

As the music played the crowd’s noise level began to elevate – no cry – no swipe
no thump rather a turn to state of hysterics.

The sight of the big mouth’s hair suddenly cropped – a long-haired wig soon
layered short due to her desperation trying to disengage it from a stranger’s car
door.

Albatross ~ Love ~ Abhorrence

What would you do?

It’s a known fact humans respond and react to circumstances often in pompous manners. How does a partner handle deceit?

  1. Counseling to figure out the ‘whys’ of the illicit behavior is a good first step in the process of salvaging a relationship.
  2. If both parties can communicate their innermost and brutally honest thoughts then there’s hope for the future, a reconciliation.
  3. Forgiveness plays a most important role for both; however, the recipient who took the blunt force of the betrayal often finds it difficult to trust and forget.
  4. Spiritual healing works its’ magic to newfound happiness. Finalization of body-mind-soul combination helps rebuild a loving synchronous coexistence.

Outward appearances . . . ahead follows the nobody knows . . . the blasphemous secrets.

Deceit again!

A tangled web woven bestowed upon the innocent party now becomes a cross for individual to bear from point of revelation likely ’til death.

He committed no crime yet tis he who suffers in silence. Long ago he tired of failed attempts with regard to solving the hardest jigsaw puzzle imaginable.

  2. Why were only hypothetical situations offered up by those professionals?
  3. Would their responses suffice?
